In the age of Knights, peasants, Kings, Queens and killer bunny rabbits, one man named Arthur, King of the Britons will gather a group of knights from all across the land to fulfill the quest and find the Holy Grail. This adaptation of the cult classic movie Monty Python & the Holy Grail takes us on a lighthearted journey of fun and laughter and teaches us that life is not just about the material thing but the people surrounding us and finding joy in ourselves. My design concept for this classic show was to stick with the light hearted campiness of the original movie. To achieve this I took a lot of inspiration from slapstick comedy and older cartoon sound effects to achieve the comedic effect that the play ask for. My favorite part was being able to record the Voice of God that enters the play and gives Arthur his quest. I used the presence of surround sound to fill the space with the voice of God allowing the audience to be submersed in the play and feel like they are along for the journey with King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.
